Anthropic just launched a promotion that doubles Claude’s usage limits — and it works on every plan, including free.
Here is what you need to know.
The Deal
From March 13 to March 27, 2026, Claude doubles your usage limits during off-peak hours.
- Off-peak: Outside 8 AM – 2 PM Eastern (5 AM – 11 AM Pacific)
- What doubles: All usage limits — messages, tokens, everything
- Bonus usage doesn’t count toward your weekly limits
That means if you use Claude in the evening, at night, or early morning, you get twice as much as usual — and it doesn’t eat into your regular quota.

Where It Works
The 2x multiplier works across everything:
- Claude.ai (web, desktop, mobile)
- Claude Code (terminal agent)
- Cowork (collaborative AI)

- Claude for PowerPoint
So if you use Claude Code for coding — you get twice as many agent sessions during off-peak hours.
How to Take Advantage
The best strategy is simple: shift your heavy AI work to off-peak hours.
If you are in Europe (CET), peak hours are 2 PM – 8 PM your time (8 AM – 2 PM ET). Everything before 2 PM and after 8 PM CET is off-peak — so your mornings and evenings give you double usage.
If you are in the US (ET), off-peak is 2 PM – 8 AM. Your evening coding sessions get double.
What to Do This Week
- Queue up your big refactoring tasks for evening sessions
- Use Claude Code for heavy multi-file changes after 2 PM ET
- Run your AI-assisted test generation during off-peak
- Save your peak hours for quick questions, use off-peak for deep work
When It Ends
March 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific. After that, limits return to normal. No billing changes — your plan stays the same.
